The Catcher in the Rye Chapter 1

Abstract: Holden talks about his life at pencey, and about his brother D.B. who is in hollywood. He is manager of the fencing team and lost all of the equipment in the subway. He is a very heavy smoker. He sits on a hill watching the football game saying good-bye to all of the people, then talks to Mr. Spencer.
