Characters

Henry - A young soldier. He was a coward in the beginning of the story but ended up becoming one of the regiments best fighters and a great leader.
Jim - Tall soldier who died in battle. Was one of Henry's friends in the 304th.
Wilson - Friend of Henry's. Was the Loud soldier. Henry and Wilson go through many battles together and lead the regiment to many victories.
Tattered Soldier - Wounded soldier who Henry has met after a battle. He represented Henry's conscience.
Lieutenant - Henry's regiment leader. Later in the story, he and Henry know they must lead the 304th regiment otherwise they will die and they have to keep them all motivated otherwise they will run.
Henry's Mother - Didn't want Henry to go to war. Gave Henry advice, telling him to stay a good person and not to shame his name, and to always do the right thing.
